Medical coverage for our facility is attended by Doctor’s from the West Coast Health Centre or other Medical Clinic’s here in Raglan. The GP’s will visit our residents at the facility on clinic days and at other times when they are unwell.
Our local pharmacist pre-packages all our medications for our residents.
Where possible we would ask family members to attend hospital appointments. If they are unavailable one of the staff members will accompany them.
We have 30 single rooms, and 3 double rooms. Many of our rooms have ensuites. There are two large living room areas and two dining areas. Many of the rooms have individual jack points for those residents who choice to have personal telephones. We have a telephone for our residents’ use.
Many of the residents routinely come to the dining room for breakfast and others will take breakfast in their rooms. Food is prepared on site daily by our cooks, and there is always fresh baking with morning or afternoon tea. Diabetic and other special diets are catered for. Meals are served in the main dining room and on request in the Quiet Room. Tea and coffee making facilities are available for those who enjoy additional cuppas. We have the Waikato Times delivered daily and The Herald on request– personal copies can be arranged.
We have a Diversional Therapist and care assistants with special responsibility for activities and outings on duty six days per week. We have access to the Raglan Community van which has a wheel chair hoist which ensures that everybody can get out and about as they are able.
The Raglan RSA and Club is in the township as well as the Public library. We have Chaplain services available from a number of local churches and weekly non-denominational services.
Visitors are always welcome – friends and family can come at any time Weekends away and holidays with families are encouraged.

Meals on Wheels are available daily for the Raglan area. Contact the Ofice staff or TeRangimarie to discuss your needs.
Respite care/carer support
We are delighted to have short stay clients when we have empty beds, otherwise beds may be available at one of associated facilities (Malyon House Te Puke, Acacia Park at Omokoroa, Mitchell Court in Matua, and Devonport Palms in Tauranga)
Raglan Hospital & Rest Home has full certification to the Health and Disability Sector Standards HSC 8134: 2003 We also participate in the ACC Work place Safety Management programme, and have a secondary level certificate.
